SC Trading, LLC
SC Trading was founded in 2005 by Nicholas Silvers after spending a decade establishing himself as a premier wine-collector. The primary motivation in founding the company was to better serve the high-end wine market through utilizing a personal and more hands-on approach. Mr. Silvers’ contacts within the industry are the foundation of SC Trading as his relationships are far-reaching and quite substantial. He believes the measure of a company is not by way of the total number of clients it has, but rather in focusing on the relationship between the client and the company itself. As such, and by limiting the client base, SC Trading is structured to deliver personal service on a per-client basis better than most in the industry through a mangement agreement with a licensed company (Pocket's Wine Co.). The goal is always for the long-term, and we welcome doing business with each new client having this principle solely in mind. SC Trading, LLC has offices in Houston, Texas.
Pocket’s Wine Co.
It was this philosophy which both attracted and convinced Jeff Moyers to bring his fifteen years experience in the wine industry to SC Trading, which he joined in 2006 as the Director of Sales. Prior to SC Trading, Jeff Moyers worked for the legendary Chicago wine institution, Sam’s Wines & Spirits, where he operated in many capacities including that of the Assistant Wine Director (working under Todd Hess) for five years. After a brief stint at the Hart, Davis, Hart Wine Co. learning about the auction side of the business, Jeff established Pocket’s Wine Co. in 2007 utilizing the State of Illinois Liquor License program where he currently operates as Managing Director. Pocket’s Wine Co. and SC Trading specialize in the fine, rare, and investment-grade wine market with a specific focus on First Growth Bordeaux, Champagne, Grand-Cru Burgundy, and high-end “ cult “ wines from the United States. And though these are the areas of focus for the company, we will seek-out any wine or spirit of interest for our clients no matter how remote. Since its inception, both Pocket’s Wine Co. and SC Trading have remained under the radar within the industry as discretion is top priority for both. Quite simply put, we’re not interested in being everyone’s, or just anyone’s, wine merchant. Providing wines with exceptional provenance, Pocket’s Wine Co. crafts the services we provide to the individual client in order to insure the best possible experience and outcome. With offices in Chicago, Illinois, Pocket’s Wine Co. currently manages and serves clients in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States of America, and Asia.
